Issue: Long delay when entering full screen in Thunder as well as projecting to a secondary display
When projecting to full screen on a main or secondary monitor, you experience a long delay
Cause of Issue:
The known cause for the delay is due to panel self refresh being enabled in the power settings of the Intel Graphics Command Center/Intel Graphics Settings
Troubleshooting Steps:
To resolve the issue, you will need to disable panel self refresh in the power settings of the Intel Graphics Command Center/Intel Graphics Settings. There are two different ways to disable this setting depending on which Intel graphics card driver is currently installed on your system. These are the steps that will need to be taken to disable Panel Self Refresh
Intel Graphics Settings:
- Locate the Intel Graphics Settings by right clicking on the desktop
- After selecting the Intel Graphics Settings you will want to navigate to the Power option
- In the Power settings, make sure you disable Panel Self Refresh on the Battery and Plugged In options, then apply and save the changes before you exit the Graphics Control Panel
Intel Graphics Command Center:
- Search Intel Graphics Command Center in the Windows search bar and launch the program
- In the Intel Graphics Command Center select the System option
- Locate the power settings at the top right of the screen
- Disable panel self refresh on the Battery and Plugged In options, save the changes and close out of Intel Graphics Command center
At this point, test entering full screen in Thunder and the delay should no longer occur
