Set Row Color lets you color a play's row in a list, either the whole row (the fill) or its text, so the plays that matter jump off the list. Color one play or a whole selection at once. It's built for video coordinators, analysts and coaches who mark up cut-ups for installs, game planning and meetings.

Before you start
- You'll need Hub Pro 2.15 or later.
- Any role except Guest can set row colors. That's the same access as drawing annotations, so if you can draw on a clip, you can color its row.
- The list must be one you can edit. On a read-only share, a source, an auto cut-up or an .xchange import the palette is greyed out, just as drawing is.
- Works in the Hub Pro desktop app (Mac and Windows), in a browser and on iPad. On iPhone you'll see row colors but can't set them.
Step 1: Select your plays
- Open a list and check the box next to the play you want to color. Check several to color them all at once.
- Click the palette in the list toolbar, next to the flag. Its tooltip reads Row Color.
Step 2: Choose fill or text
- The menu shows how many rows you've selected, for example Color 1 selected row.
- Under Apply color to, choose Row fill to color the whole row, or Row text to color the words.
- Pick one of the eight colors: red, orange, yellow, green, teal, blue, purple or pink.
- Row fill shows as a light tint of the color across the row.
- Row text colors the play's text instead.
One or the other. A row takes a fill or a text color, not both. Switch between Row fill and Row text and the color moves across.
Step 3: Color several plays at once
- Select several plays, open the palette and pick a color. Every selected row takes it.
- You can switch between Row fill and Row text for the whole selection the same way.
Step 4: Share and move plays
- Row colors are saved with the list, so everyone who can see the list sees them. There's no private row color.
- Add colored plays to another list and their colors go with them.
- The copies are separate. Change or clear a color in the new list and the original list keeps its own.
Step 5: Clear Color
- Select the plays, open the palette and choose Clear Color. The color is removed from every selected row.
Clear all flags keeps colors. Clearing flags doesn't remove row colors. Use Clear Color instead.
Need a hand?
- Palette greyed out? The list is read-only for you, or it's a source, an auto cut-up or an .xchange import. Make a copy of the plays in a list you can edit.
- No palette at all? Your role is Guest. Ask your Hub Pro administrator.
- Colors gone after you closed a list? Colors set in a combined list or a temporary list are kept on that device only. Color plays in a saved list to share them.
- Colors missing in Thunder? Row colors show in Hub Pro only. List colors do carry over to Thunder.
