New
- We've improved the overall performance of Network Capture by adding Focus Server as an optional but recommended component of the workflow. In the event of a dropped camera feed or loss of network connection, Focus Server will continue sending a black feed until the video resumes.
- For a detailed workflow and Focus Server setup guide, please see here.
- Qualified support for BlackMagic 3G recorder when recording a single capture feed with a Thunderbolt 3,4 or 5 cable.
- Note: The BlackMagic 3G recorder is qualified to record a single capture feed ONLY when Focus Server is also leveraged in the Network Capture workflow.
- We've updated the Decoder Error message to include more detail. The message now reads: "Decoder Error: Please save your work and restart Thunder."
- We've updated the cloud media timeout message to read, "File Read Error: Please Reload Edit (Support Info: 2)".
Bug Fixes
- Resolved a bug that caused prolonged finalization times when capturing with mixed audio.
- Resolved intermittent crashing seen when copying data from Excel to Thunder.
- Resolved an issue causing USB Serial Port drivers to be incompatible with Thunder following a Windows Update, resulting in Westie remotes not working correctly.
- Resolved an issue causing Thunder to crash when fast forwarding using keyboard controls.
- Resolved an bug that automatically selected the incorrect volume when finalizing Network Capture.
- Resolved a variety of crashes and performance issues.
- TC Sync LAN Service only: Resolves an issue with TC Sync that caused large syncs to get stuck at 100%.
Known Issues
- When starting a Voiceover the audio recording does not begin until the space bar is pressed to start video playback.
- On a Windows 11 Standalone Machine, the Client Transcode Queue Tool does not populate, but the assets are successfully pushed.
- Users can view the queue via the Catapult Thunder Queue Tool on the Desktop.
- Due to a NETBIOS character limit, a name longer than 15 characters causes the xosadmin user to fail, resulting in Sync failures.
- We have seen longer import times for AVCHD Content (in Travel Mode and Connected to Server) due to anti-virus scanning.
- More information on resolving this issue via the Restricted User Tool can be found here.
- The Hotkey "Ctrl + Shift + 0" is a default Windows Hotkey so Color Tag #20 does not function properly.
