Issue: Cutup Won't Play
- Loading a cutup that was just imported as raw media with an .xchange file won't play, and locks up Thunder
List of Symptoms
- Opening a cutup on any machine causes Thunder to lock up
- Original file has Slides/Images in it
Expected Behavior
- Thunder should play the edit with no issue
Cause of Lockup
- Cutup was Exported for Trade and contains slides
Resolution or Troubleshooting Steps:
- Load the original file outside of Thunder and skip around to see if any slides exist
- Right-click the original file in Windows Explorer, select properties, and details, note the Frame Height and Frame Rate
- Copy the file into the matching Transcode folder (In this case the 720P Transcode folder)
- If the transcode folders are not on the machine, they can be installed by following this guide: Installing Transcode Folders
- When the file finishes processing, in Thunder select Import>Raw Media file, and pick the file from C:\transcode\Output
- When prompted to pick where to save the cutup and name it, select the checkbox for "Do NOT include plays"
- Once it imports, open in Marking mode and re-mark the cutup
