Thunder Security Permissions allow Super Administrators to assign access to media and data export tools to a Thunder user. This article will outline how to assign permissions and provide an overview of the permission groups.

Roles and Defaults
Permissions groups can be assigned to the following Thunder user roles.
- Administrator
- Power User
- Intermediate User
- User
- Guest
User Role Permission Defaults are automatically assigned when creating a new user based on their user role. Below is a listing of the default permissions for each role.
Note: Super Administrators have access to all Security Permissions.
Assigning Permissions
Super Administrators can access this option by going to the Users menu in the Administration section of Thunder. After selecting a user a Security Permissions menu will be accessible.
The Role Permission Defaults are assigned to each new user. These permissions can be modified by deselecting the Use Role Permission Defaults checkbox. You can then modify the permissions for the selected user.
Permission Group Overview
Data
This permission provides access to the following areas to support exporting data from the network. These permissions apply to all Thunder user types unless otherwise noted.
Games > Export Game Stats
Games > GSIS Resolver Tool > Setup Button (Administrators only)
Games > GSIS Auto Resolver> Setup Button (Administrators only)
Games > PFF Resolver Tool > Setup Button (Administrators only)
Right-click on a playlist tab > Export Edit To File
Right-click on a playlist tab > Copy To Clipboard
Right-click on a column name > Export to File
Right-click on a column name > Copy to Clipboard
Playlist Tool Bar > Print > Export to File
Playlist Tool Bar > Print > Copy to Clipboard
GA Admin
The GA Admin permission grants users access to the Admin section of Game Analysis which can be accessed by Power Users, Administrators and Super Administrators.

Media Admin
This permission provides users the tools to access or place media stored in Thunder Asset Management.
Right click on an edit > Properties > Media Tab > Replace MXF with MP4 File
Right click on an edit > Properties > Media Tab > Copy Media Path to Clipboard
Right click on an edit > Properties > Media Tab > Overwrite Media with New File
Administration > Asset Management > Right-click on an asset > Export as Raw File…
Administration > Asset Management >Right-click on an asset > Open
Administration > Asset Management >Right-click on an asset > Overwrite Media with New File…
Administration > Asset Management > Right-click on an asset > Copy Media Path to Clipboard
Media Export
The Media Export permission group provides access to tools that allow users to export video from Thunder.
Edit Station > Output tab
Tools > Export Video Plays for Trade
Right-click on an edit or master > Output to File (Administrators Only)
Right-click on an edit or master > Export > Export to Axon (if licensed)
Right-click on an edit or master > ThunderVR > Export for Youtube
Right-click on an edit or master > Tools > Export Video Plays for Trade
Portable Organizers
This permission allows users to create a new Portable Organizer. Please note, users can still add new media to an existing Portable Organizer when this permission is denied.

The Print permission allows users to print a playlist through the Thunder toolbar.

Voiceover
This permission allows users to access our Voiceover menu. This feature includes the Output to .MP4 feature.

XIMP
The XIMP permission allows users to export a XIMP or RXIMP through a client machine.
