Description: The following tool can be used to force drop client subscriptions that are stuck and refuse to allow you to drop them. Click here to download the tool.
Setup:
- Download the tool with the link above
- Extract the files
- Right click on the .zip folder and select Extract All...
- Note: If you do not see that option above then you may need to select Show More Options (last option) first and then it should show up in the new menu.
- Right click on the .zip folder and select Extract All...
- Move the folder somewhere on the machine where you wont touch it (suggest root of the C drive)
- Create a shortcut on your desktop
- Win 10 process:
- Once moved to a long term location open the folder and right click on the ThunderSyncToolkit.exe, hover over Send to, and select Desktop (create shortcut).
- Once moved to a long term location open the folder and right click on the ThunderSyncToolkit.exe, hover over Send to, and select Desktop (create shortcut).
- Win 11 process:
- Once moved to a long term location open the folder and right click on the ThunderSyncToolkit.exe, select Show More options (last option), hover over Send to, and select Desktop (create shortcut). See pic above for reference on what to select after clicking Show More options.
- Win 10 process:
Directions:
- Run either the shortcut created on the desktop in the setup phase or the ThunderSyncToolkit.exe directly.
- Once launched read the note before checking the box to confirm you fall into the proper category for running this.
- Check the box at the bottom and click the Force Drop Subscription button at the top.
- Once completed you will get a Drop complete message, click OK and it will close out of the app.
- Wait for Exchange agent to fully load up again (the tool restarts it during the subscription drop) then you are good create a new subscription on the machine.
