This workflow allows users to quickly transfer single media files from Thunder into the ThunderCloud app and leverage the iBench controls. These steps allow users to transfer the media without any of the clip data that a user would normally get doing the Export Plays for Trade (Gameday Edit) workflow.
Export Media From Thunder:
- First, a user needs to export a media file from Thunder:
- A suggested way to do this is to right-click on a single play in an edit and click "Subclip Selected plays..."
- Save media file to the Desktop.
- If you want your media file to have a particular name, rename it on the Desktop.
Import to iPad using iTunes:
- With the iPad connected to a Thunder laptop, open iTunes.
- Select the device icon in the upper left of the window.
- From the device screen in iTunes, select "File sharing" on the left side under Settings.
- From the File Sharing window, click on the ThunderCloud App under the Apps list.
- Click and drag the exported media file from Thunder and drop it into the list of 'ThunderCloud Documents'.
- Let the file(s) completely copy and close out.
Playing the Media in iBench:
- On the iPad, open the ThunderCloud app and select "Imported Media." Do not sign in with ThunderCloud credentials.
- Select iBench.
- Select the camera icon on the top left and find your file.
- This lets you play the media file with all the proper iBench controls.
