Issue: Switching to the Capture tab, the Edit tab is still active
When switching to the Capture tab, the Edit tab is still active. If you switch back to Edit, the Capture tab is still active. Folders are not responsive. You are not able to capture.
List of Symptoms
- After Switching to Capture, the application gets stuck between Edit and Capture station. Folder selection stops functioning properly
When switching to Capture, the Edit tab should turn grey and no longer be active
Cause of Switching to the Capture tab, the Edit tab is still active
We have seen 2 known reasons for this issue. Both issues break Thunder when the application is looking for the system uptime to check if the computer has been on for 4+ hours.
- Symantec 14.2 does not handle the exclusions properly
- Windows Performance Counters become corrupt.
Resolution or Troubleshooting Steps:
Solution 1: Upgrade to Thunder Hockey 18.104.22.168 or higher
Solution 2: Update Symantec Endpoint Protection to 14.3 or higher.

Solution 3: Rebuild the Windows Performance Counters
- From the Command Prompt as an admin
- cd c:\windows\system32
- lodctr /R
- cd c:\windows\sysWOW64
- lodctr /R
