Auto Import Raw Media Files

Using this tool you can import Raw Media files automatically into Thunder.

Opening the Auto Import Raw Media Files Window

• In the Edit Station click on the Import button and select Auto Import Raw Media Files                                                                                                            

Setup

• Media Source Directory: This is the folder in which your raw media files are stored

We recommend this being a folder on the import machine and not a mapped network drive

• Master Destination Folder: The folder in Thunder in which your raw media files will go on import

Running Auto Import Raw Media Files

• Click the Start button in the lower right corner, notice the Import Listener Status changes from red to green
• File names will populate the Auto Import Raw Media Files window and their status will update as they’re ingested

Important Notes

• The Auto Import Raw Media Files window must remain open throughout the import process, the window can be minimized and the user can continue to work in Thunder as normal
• Only files with an accompanying .xchange file will be brought in during this process
• Source files will be deleted after being imported
