Create Text Overlays
- Click on the Tools button and select Overlays > New Overlay…
- Modify Font as desired
- Click the Select Field Data button to select a field to add
- Position the field as desired
- Set Text Alignment to left or right justified for best results
- Click Add Text then Select Field Data to add additional fields
- Click OK to save
- Give the Overlay Template a Name and Description (optional)
- Select a User Group (side-of-ball) or All Users and click OK to save
Attach Overlays to One or More Edits
- Close all open edits in the playlist
- Right click on the edit(s)
- Choose Apply Text Overlay and select which Overlay to apply
Attach Overlays to an Open Edit
- Click on the Text Overlay button
- Select Attach Overlay…
- Select the Overlay to apply
To apply Headings and/or Text Overlays to each new edit saved in a particular folder:
- Right Click on the Folder and select Properties
- Select the Network Organizer tab
- Select to Override the Default Headings Group and/or Default Text Overlay
To detach an Overlay from an Edit
- Open the edit
- Click on the Text Overlay button
- Select Detach Overlay…
Please Note: This will only apply to new edits saved to the folder and will not change edits that already exist
User Preferred Overlay
- Users can now set a preferred overlay that will override any overlay attached to an edit, folder or filter.
- There are three areas to set a user preferred overlay.
- Edit Station: Tools → Overlays → Set User Preferred Overlay…
- Toolbar: Click on the Overlay icon then select Set User Preferred Overlay…
- Video Analyzer: Click on the Overlay icon the select Set User Preferred Overlay…
- All user preferred overlays are set to None by default
- Users can select any available overlay, based on side of ball permissions, in the dropdown menu.
- An overlay can be selected for multiple sides of ball.
- Once an overlay has been selected it will apply to any edit opened by the user.
- Users can apply a new overlay to display while an edit is loaded.
- If the user saves the edit with a new overlay applied then the new overlay will display for any user who opens the edit, so long as they don’t have their own preferred overlay set.
Change the Duration and Opacity of Text Overlays
- Click on the Football HD button in the top left
- Select Settings
- Select Media Player
- In the Text Overlay area enter the duration you’d like the overlay to stay up
- Change the Default Text Overlay Opacity to make the overlay more or less transparent
Please Note – Changing the duration to -1 will keep the overlay on screen for the entire play
