Catapult Thundercloud Windows App
Installing the app:
- Search on your computer for the Microsoft Store app, or click this link HERE.
- Within it, search for "ThunderCloud"
- Install the XOS ThunderCloud Universal application.
Logging On:
To start, open the Catapult thundercloud app located on your desktop or toolbar
If you can’t locate it on your desktop or toolbar, check under the C tab in the programs menu after you click the start button in the bottom left corner of your screen, or search for it in the search bar on your computer.
Once the app opens, type in your username and password, then click the login button. Make sure you see the green light next to ThunderCloud below the login button so you know you are online. If you do not see the green light, check your internet connection.
Accessing Video:
After logging in, click the camera button on the sidebar in the top left to access the video game plans, or expand the video section (four arrows).
Click to open the game plans you want to view and navigate to the folder that contains the edits you are looking for. The edits will appear on the right side of the screen, click to open.
Using the Media Player:
When you open an edit, the media will automatically start to play. Underneath the media player is a tool bar that will allow you to rewind (fast or slow – left three icons), change to previous play (left arrow with line in front), skip to next play (right arrow with line in front), fast forward (double right arrow), play or pause (right arrow or double vertical lines), and fast forward slow (right arrow with thick vertical line behind).
To toggle video to full screen, click the arrows pointing in opposite directions in the top right of the video toolbar or press the ESC key on your keyboard.
You can also change the views on the edit if you only want to see one view of the play, such as only EZ or only SL. Just click the views button to the right of the media player toolbar, select the view(s) you wish to use, and then exit.
Creating Cutups:
Below the media player is the data associated with the current edit you are viewing. You can change the heading group for that edit by clicking on the three bars in the top right corner of the screen, then select headings, and choose the heading you want to use.
As you watch film, you can tag plays that you would like to save to an edit by clicking the flag next to the play name in the data section, or by pressing the \ key on your keyboard (located above the enter key). A white flag is the default color, and the red flag means the play has been tagged.
To save the tagged plays, click the three lines in the top right corner, save plays…, and then select if you want to save the plays as a new edit or add them to an existing one.
If you are saving as a new edit, a window will pop up where you can type the name of the new edit (bar at the top that turns white when selected), as well as choose the folder where you want the edit to go, then hit ok. You can save these new edits to either your gameplan hot folder, or your user's My Folder structures. Please note: this functionality does not work in offline mode.
If you are adding tagged plays to another edit, a window will pop up where you will choose the folder that the destination edit currently resides in, and then select the edit from that folder that you want to add the plays to. You can toggle between if you want the plays to go at the beginning or the end of the edit.
Downloading Video:
If you are going to be traveling and/or without internet access, you can download individual edits or gameplans. To download individual edits, select the edit you want to download and click the download edit button in the top right corner (down arrow with line underneath).
To download a gameplan, select the folder that you want to download and click the download gameplan button in the top right corner (down arrow with line underneath inside of a folder).
If you are going to download a full gameplan, just be aware of the amount of space you have on your laptop so that you do not run out. This will also take a lot more time to do than downloading individual edits. You can check the status of your downloads, as well as the amount of space you have left on your computer by going into the downloads tab (down arrow with line underneath) located on the left side bar.
To view all of the edits you have downloaded, select the downwards-pointing arrow icon on the left-hand side of your screen. You can also just navigate to those edits in the video section as detailed above.
To delete downloaded video, select the downwards-pointing arrow icon on the left-hand side of your screen to get to your downloads section. Then, you can click an edit and hit the trash icon to delete a single download, or you can hit the trash icon with the + sign to delete all of your downloads at once.
Using Remotes:
Both the Bolt bluetooth remotes and the Westwater Cowboy remotes will work with this app. If you also have Thunder installed on your computer, ensure that it is closed when trying to use a remote with the TC Windows Universal app.
Imported Edits:
In post-game workflows, your video staff may import a package of your game or part(s) of your game into the app for offline viewing. You can access these either through the "Imported Edits" button on the sign-in page without signing in, or you can sign in to the app and select the "Imported Edits" button on the left-hand side of the screen. Our video guide on this can be viewed HERE.
