Tagger
What is it?
Tagger is a tool within Thunder that can be used during game breakdowns/data entry in Coaches or Edit Station. It provides users the ability to enter data, calculate data and create Playtools play drawings.
How to Use It
- After loading a game into the playlist click on the Tagger button in the toolbar
- The Tagger data entry screen will then open above the Playlist
- The data fields that are displayed correspond to the Heading Group that is applied to the open edit
- If the user changes the Heading Group after loading the edit they’ll need to select the Sync button in order to adjust the tagger template
- Numeric fields are displayed with a number pad, while text fields are displayed with previously entered values in a box
- Users can enter data by typing it into the tagger fields or clicking on the value
- To proceed to the next field tap on the Tab key or select the red box to the right of the data entry section
- Click on the green box to go to the previous data field or Shift + Tab
- Click on the top blue box to go to the Previous Play
- Click on the yellow box to go to the next play, but remain in the same data field
- Click on the bottom blue box to go the the first data entry column on the next play or Alt + P
Automatically Rebuilding Play Data
- Tagger has the ability to automatically rebuild the follow play data fields
- Quarter – User must enter any change in the quarter in order for this to populate
- Series – User must enter data in the Series End column in order for this value to change
- Series Sequence
- Down – User must enter this information on the first play of the game
- Distance – User must enter this information on the first play of the game
- Field Position – User must enter this on the first play of the game and adjust it on the first play of each series
- Please note that the Gain field must be entered on all plays in order for this information to populate correctly
- In order to calculate these fields the user needs to click on the Rebuild button while on the play they wish to populate
Playtools within Tagger
- Users who utilize Playtools can also draw within Tagger by clicking on the Diagram button
- This will open a Playtools drawing window which will automatically populate if the appropriate Diagram Setups exist
- After completing the diagram click on the Save button on the top left in order to save this Game Diagram
- Exit the drawing tool by click on the Diagram button
Button Explanations
- This button will change the tagger fields to the ones in the headings group that you’ve applied
- This would most likely be used if you change the heading group your using in the breakdown after opening up Tagger
- This button will open up the Playtools drawing tool
- This button will publish the Calculated Fields for the edit that’s open
- These fields will not populate in the Playlist until the Edit is closed then reopened
- This button will rebuild the play data on the selected play
- This button will rebuild the play data on the selected play
- This button will confirm the value the user has selected or entered for a column
- This button will revert to the originally entered value of a column
- This will only work if a user has not gone to the next data column, it’s not a true undo button
- This button will erase the value that the user has entered into the column
