Search lists and sources finds any list or source by name and opens it in a few keystrokes, without digging through folders. It's built for video coordinators, analysts and coaches who work across hundreds of cut-ups, game lists and installs.

Before you start
- You need Hub Pro 2.15 or later.
- In the desktop app, search sits at the top of the window. In a web browser, or on iPad with a keyboard, open it with the keyboard shortcut. Search isn't available on iPhone.
- Search finds the lists and sources your account can open. Documents and folders aren't searched.
Step 1: Open search
- Click Search lists and sources at the top of the desktop app.
- Or press ⌘ + K on a Mac, Ctrl + K on Windows. The shortcut works from anywhere in Hub Pro, even while you're typing in another box.
- To close search, press Esc, press the shortcut again, or click outside it.
Step 2: Choose Lists or Sources
- Under Search in, pick Lists or Sources. Lists is selected when you start.
- Search looks in one at a time. If you've already searched, switching runs the same search again in the other.
Step 3: Type a name and search
- Type at least three characters of the name. Any part of the name works: "cross" finds "Holy Cross".
- Press Enter or click Search. Search doesn't run while you type, so finish the name first.
Step 4: Read the results
- The count shows above the results, closest matches first: an exact name, then names that start with what you typed, then a word that starts with it, then anywhere in the name. Ties sort A to Z.
- Lists in folders you've opened in Hub Pro on this device show their folder path under the name, so you know where each one lives. Hover a result to see its full path and name.
Lots of matches? Search shows the first 500. Add more of the name to narrow it.
Step 5: Open a result
- Click a result, or move to it with the arrow keys and press Enter.
- Search closes and the list or source opens in its own tab, ready to work.
Step 6: Pick up where you left off
- Open search again and your last search is still there, with its results. Open another result without searching again.
- To search for something new, clear the box, type a new name and press Enter.
Need a hand?
- Shortcut does nothing? Click anywhere in Hub Pro first so it has focus. On iPad, connect a keyboard.
- Search button greyed out? Type at least three characters.
- No folder path under a result? Paths show for folders you've opened in Hub Pro on this device. Open the folder once and its lists show the path from then on.
- No results? Check the spelling, try fewer letters, or switch between Lists and Sources.
- See "Search needs an internet connection"? Reconnect, then search again.
- See "Search by name isn't available on this server yet"? Ask your admin to update your Thunder Server.
- Looking for a document or a folder? Search covers lists and sources. Use the folder menu for everything else.
