PowerPoint Processing failed: Presentation (unknown member) : An error occurred while PowerPoint was saving the file.

Issue: When attempting to import a PowerPoint Slide into Thunder you receive the following error:

Solution:

Open PowerPoint on the affected machine.  Click on File->Options.

In the PowerPoint Options dialog box, click ‘Trust Center’ at the bottom on the left hand side.

Then Click on the ‘Trust Center Setting…’ button.

In the next window you’ll see that PowerPoint 97-2003 Presentations, Shows, Templates and Add-in Files has Open/Save checked.

These need to be unchecked.  If you cannot modify those settings, then IT will need to get involved.

Click Ok, and import PowerPoints into Thunder.
