Clients (iOS & MacOS)
- When connecting to Focus Server, if the Server Name is not automatically shown, click the “Advanced” Button and enter the IP address of the server. The IP address is displayed on the “Status” page in Focus Server.
- If you cannot access the video on the logging machine, please check the following items:
- Check that the sharing permissions are correct on the Recordings folder (of Focus Server)
- Verify that “American Football Tablet Mode” is disabled. This should not be enabled on the logging machine. If this was enabled, disable it, quit and relaunch Focus.
- Make sure that the correct path is set in the “Shared Video Recording Directory” in the Focus/Settings/Server section of the settings.
- Navigate to the recordings folder on the Focus client to make sure that you can access it.
- If there is an error “Unable to play video file:” try to access that path in Windows.
- If the iPad stops downloading the clips, the workaround is to force quit the app and relaunch. After launching again, the user will see the clips appear.
- If the user has issues connecting the client to the server, ensure the Wifi is OFF and ethernet is connected on the same network as the server.
- If a client cannot connect to Focus Server, confirm if there is a password set in Focus Server. This is set on the “Clients” tab in Focus Server.
- If a user would like to update a client name, please navigate to Settings --> Server --> and then update the "Client Name" section.
- If the user is not seeing clips on the clients, confirm there are no password errors on the Tag Clipper Service in the “Preferences” section.
- If the Focus application is not in Review Mode on the iPad, please navigate to “Settings” → “User Interface” → scroll down to select “Enable American Football Tablet Mode”
- Guided access will need to be set as part of the gameday process to ensure coaches and players do not accidentally close the app or run into a variety of issues. To enable Guided Access Mode, click the Power Button three times quickly. In order to close Focus it will need to be turned off by repeating the same process of clicking the power button 3 times and entering the passcode.
- Please reach out to Support if you do not know your Guided Access passcode.
